Description
Copy number '43' of 50 copies put aside for subscribers to Incline Press, from a total edition of 300 copies. Letterpress printed on a foot-powered Victorian press, on hand-made paper, and then hand bound. Light brown illustrated and printed wrappers, pages sewn in with white thread. 9¾" x 6½", pp. [1-2] 3-20, with 26 illustrations, 14 in colour. The illustrators include Philip Woollard (title page scraperboard), Peter Allen and Claude Lovat Fraser (drawings), Thomas Bewick, Enid Marx and Sybella Styles (wood engravings) together with some Victorian stock blocks.
