Publisher's grey cloth, with blue lettering to the front board and spine and an aerial photograph (8" x 6") of Butte-de-Warlencourt affixed to the front board, cream and blue endpapers. Clear, removable, archival-quality protective cover fitted to the book. Now in a grey-cloth slipcase made by Christopher Shaw. Landscape Quarto, 12¼" x 10", pp. [1-2] 3-74, fully illustrated with 25 photographs of the Somme Battlefield, including one fold-out over 3 pages. Introduced by the author.
