Original maroon cloth,gilt 'AB' and 'XY' stamped on the upper a lower covers respectively, gilt title lettering to spine, grey endpapers. Text in German and English. Narrow Quarto, 280 x 190 mm, pp. [1-8] 9-251 [blank] [253-256] with 26 pages of type specimens, two tipped-in colour plates and numerous photographs and type specimens in the text. TOGETHER WITH a bookmark inscribed by Hermann Zapf, and a printed New Year card for 1991 from Gudrun and Hermann Zapf, both loosely inserted.
