Two volumes of the 1969 photolithographic reprint of the Report first published in 1914 (Part I) and 1921 (Part II). Publisher's dark blue buckram with gilt lettering to spines. Part I: Folio. [A]4 B-E4 pp. [i-vii] viii, [1]-29 [30-32] with frontispiece photographs of a. 'Citadel Mound from the North West and b. Citadel Mound from the North, full-page Plates A.1-11 and B.1-16 [2], R. Campbell Thompon's Survey of the Kala'at 1911, and scale Sketch plan of Area of Lower City Excavated up to July 1913. Part II: Folio. [A]4 B-R4 S2 pp. [i-v] vi-xvi, 33-156, with fold-out frontispiece photographic 'Panorama of Carchemish from the Citadel Mound', full page plates numbered Plate 3 to Plate 28, and Plates A. 12. to A. 18, and Plates B. 17 to B32 (some fold-out).
Condition
Books in Very Good condition albeit ex-library with the usual markings, each with Good only printed dust-jackets with some loss to spines and other damage. Very Scarce in any condition.
