First American Edition in the uncommon state of the dust-jacket showing a horse rider on a gilt background (the more common state has a drawing of a camel rider on yellow background), and with Doran's colophon on the verso of the title page (a black 'lozenge' with white GHC within). Publisher's grey red buckram with black lettering and black woodcut designs to front board and spine. Octavo. 23 x 15.8 cm: [1-21]8 [22]10, 178 leaves, pp.[i-iv] v-xx 1-336. White, wove, unwatermarked paper, all edges trimmed. With 16 b/w plates on coated paper.
