Sir Frederick Pollock's copy, with his ownership signature to the front pastedown, and his note on the verso of the half-title, 'from the author'. With a handwritten 'With the Author's Compliments' slip loosely inserted. Publisher's olive-green cloth with gilt lettering to the spine and gilt, decorative 'TH' monogram medallion to the front board blocked in gold, all edges untrimmed. Small octavo, [A]6, B-O8, P2, pp.[ii][i-iv] v-x [1-2] 3-208 with four pages of advertisements and press opinions of The Dynasts..

A book in Very Good condition. Spine slightly faded, some markings to the edge of the upper board, endpapers slightly browned.
